It’s taken me some time to get here but here it is my very first blog, as some of you may know I’m not stranger to writing and hearing the sound of my own voice and through newsletters have always got my messages across but I think its time to catch up and so here goes with the first, hopefully, of many as long as you don’t get sick of hearing me going on!
So my only question now was what to write about? In putting together the design of this blog and the name I started to go back to the beginning, how on earth a business development manager from the north of England ended up on the plains of Kildare running a nursery & landscaping company? And to top it all has really begun to enjoy it!
I was dragged over to Ireland kicking and screaming and as usual there was a man involved who went onto become my hubby, Ian and the father of our four slightly demonic children. Isolated from the civilised world as the saying goes if you can’t beat them join them. So I began to learn about the plants, landscaping and designing gardens. Then when hubby brought home his first six sheep I thought he’d lost his marbles (he’d never thought to tell me that he was a closet farmer) but now the many rare-breed animals that we keep on the nursery are a pleasure. The kids have the best time with all the space and plenty of trouble to get themselves into and to top it all last year we opened the coffee shop on the nursery, my very own baby, which has help me indulge my passion for cooking and expand my kitchen garden. So the girl from Lancashire is truly loving this way of life and I look forward to keeping you up to date with all my exploits.
Well done! Much prefer blogs to websites or bloody FB
Thanks Maggie there will be no stopping me now!

Thanks Colette, I’ve plenty of hard acts to follow!
